Coaching

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do professionals benefit from coaching?

An executive coach is a thought partner to help a professional at an inflection point such as a job transition, leading a larger team, or in an executive position who can use a sounding board to identify obstacles and solutions from a strengths-based framework.

How does coaching differ from mentoring or therapy?

Coaching is neither mentoring nor therapy; it is an equal relationship to partner with the client as the "expert." It is a self-regulated industry with services adhering to the ethics set forth by the International Coaching Federation. All communication is confidential.

Does coaching guarantee I will be promoted?

No. A competent coach will not guarantee monetary advancement. But a coach will help a client identify blind spots which often translate to career success and leading teams with less conflict and improved results. Many clients have successfully received promotions after a few coaching sessions after being passed over for years.
